CPSI Thrill Ride 2015

CPSI 2015 was a non-stop thrill ride and excellent education opportunity- where I hopped on early to design the event logo and a big batch of illustrations to appear in session guides, then arrived at the conference to visually capture the opening night keynote speech, attend a class and give a presentation, then capture the presentation and speech by authors Peter and Paul Reynolds. There's no better way to kick off the summer!

Time Travels

So a new and very interesting social network, Somewhere, ask questions (they call them "Provocations", a much better word) that you answer at your convenience and as you do so, you build a interesting profile of yourself and your professional and personal life. A ingenious set up well worth a look. One question is "If you could time travel, where would you go?"... my answer: "Studying the weather with J.M.W. Turner..."

Drawing and Doughnuts

Here's a small collection of my recent visual notetaking projects from meetings, workshops and other events nationwide. Doughnuts were occasionally served.

Snowman Hits the Slopes

Looks like the bitter cold conjured this vision of a snowman, pencils and a Radio Flyer. Wrap it in some plaid and the music of Fats Waller and you've got a wintery holiday greeting.

Visual Storytelling

Watch fingers fly as I draw a recent promotional video for Mountain View Group LTD,
and their client, GE Energy. Check out  their website here.

The project started with several phone conversations
and lots of note taking and sketching:

They sent me their script copy and I created rough idea sketches to build the story:

With script and sketches in hand I travelled to Mountain View Group's
studio to tape the sketching session. They tied it together with sound and
sharp editing. I had the easy job!
